FAQs
What happens at the consultation?
First, we will set up a video call consultation up to 30 minutes to learn about your space and what you want organized. During this consultation I will see your space to learn about your goals for it, get an idea of how many organizers will be needed and how long it will take, and ensure we are a good fit to work together.
Are you going to make me throw everything away?
You will never be forced to throw away or donate any items. Organizing can be a very emotional process, and although efforts may be made to let go of some things, the decision will ALWAYS be yours! The more you can edit out of your space, the easier the process will be and the better end result you will get.
Are the products included? Do I have to buy new products?
The price of new products is not included in the organizing service pricing. We ask for your designated organizing product budget and we will stick with that budget when space planning and shopping for product for your space. New product is not mandatory for organizing, but it does tend to allow for more functionality and better long term results. We will always try to use organizing product you already have first, so long as it is functional for the space.
Should I clean up before our consultation?
It is very important to keep the space exactly how it is, so that I can see the problems you are running into in that particular area. You are in a judgement-free zone working with my team and I! It will be more beneficial to the process if nothing is changed before we see it.
Do you take my donations and trash away for me?
We do not take any donations or trash off of your premises. If you are expecting to get rid of a large amount of items we are happy to offer a list of dumpster/junk hauler services and/or donation drop off centers for you to review.
Do I need to be home while you’re working?
We have clients of all kinds. Some are very busy which is why they hire us in the first place! Others want to be part of the process every step of the way. We are totally fine with both, we just ask that you be present for the decluttering part of the job so that we know which items have permission to leave the space and which items will stay.
